Orlando City SC to sign Irishman as Collin’s replacement?

A day after Aurélien Collin was traded to New York Red Bulls, it appears Orlando City SC are making moves to sign his replacement with 25-year-old Irish centre back Gavin Gunning being lined up.

As reported by the Evening Telegraph, Gunning has already been told he can leave Scottish Premier League outfit Dundee United with the defender having spent a week-long trial with Adrian Heath’s Lions after falling out of favour with Mixu Paatelainen. Continue reading

Orlando City SC parting ways with 30-year-old star

Waking up on Thursday morning (UK time), Twitter was awash with the news that Orlando City SC are parting ways with Aurélien Collin who will be joining New York Red Bulls.

As confirmed by Brian Lewis of the New York Post, Jesse March’s Red Bulls are acquiring the French centre back in exchange for a fourth round pick in the 2017 draft. Continue reading

Twitter reacts to… the Orlando Pride season ticket unboxing

If you thought the Orlando City SC fraternity was big, it’s about to get even bigger because the Orlando Pride will be officially kicking off their inaugural season on Sunday evening (U.S. time) / Monday evening (U.K. time) against the Portland Thorns in NWSL.

It will be an incredibly proud moment for the city of Orlando once again with Tom Sermanni‘s side set to experience the emotions that we all did when our Lions took to the pitch against New York City FC at the Citrus Bowl back on March 8th, 2015.
