While Orlando City SC‘s first two 2017 Major League Soccer fixtures were revealed last month, Lions supporters today learned just when each of their remaining 32 other games will be played.

With the full 2017 Major League Soccer schedule now released to the public, televised games can be pencilled in, vacation plans can be forged and City fans now know when we’ll be facing Adrian Heath for the first time!

Within the opening month of March, Orlando City SC fans can look forward to two home games in our brand new Orlando City Stadium, opening against 2015 expansion rivals New York City FC on the 5th while facing Philadelphia Union on the 18th.

Sandwiched in between, the first road game of the new campaign sees Jason Kreis‘ Lions travel up the Eastern Seaboard to face New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium on March 11th.

As for other notable fixtures in today’s full release, Orlando City SC will face 2016 MLS Cup champions Seattle Sounders in the Pacific Northwest this year, visiting CenturyLink Field on June 21st.

Then of course are three eagerly anticipated Eastern Conference meetings between the Lions and 2017 expansion franchise Atlanta United – geographically the closest city to Orlando (438 miles) with a fierce rivalry set to ensue!

Jason Kreis‘ Lions will face Gerardo Martino’s new boys back-to-back on July 21st at Orlando City Stadium while visiting Bobby Dodd Stadium hot on the heels of that game on July 30th. The third and final 2017 meeting also takes place across the state in Georgia on September 16th.

And how could we round up this piece without highlighting May 27th as the date in which Orlando City SC will go up against former head coach Adrian Heath for the very first time!

In what are sure to be strange circumstances for Lions fans, the schedule has determined that Orlando City SC will face Heath’s 2017 expansion franchise at TCF Bank Stadium this year.

That unfortunately means there will be no grand return to Central Florida for Inchy until next season at the earliest!
