Following Dom Dwyer‘s landmark trade to Orlando City SC, the Lions have remained active in the transfer market by signing up Peruvian international Yoshimar Yotún.
An incredibly versatile customer, the 27-year-old has won 63 caps for his country and even played in the Champions League during his time spent at Malmö FF.
Left-footed and equally adept at left back, left midfield and in central midfield, this versatility has got us wondering where Jason Kreis will deploy him exactly.
>> DID YOU KNOW THESE 5 FACTS ABOUT YOSHIMAR YOTÚN? <<
Usually performing at left midfield for the Peru national side, this is Yoshimar Yotún‘s strongest position.
Jason Kreis has dabbled between a flat 4-4-2 and a 4-4-2 diamond formation during his time in Central Florida and it would appear Yoshimar Yotún would suit the left hand side of the latter system.
Yoshimar Yotún‘s arrival could dislodge the likes of Cristian Higuita or Antonio Nocerino from the starting eleven with Will Johnson a favourite of Jason Kreis.
In this case, we’ve taken Cristian Higuita from the starting eleven with Tommy Redding replacing José Aja after some shaky performances in defence.
Being a Designated Player, you’d imagine that Yoshimar Yotún will be a starter but who would make YOUR strongest Orlando City SC eleven, and in what formation?
