They’ve been the instantly recognisable name on the face of Orlando City SC’s jerseys ever since the USL days and now Orlando Health will remain in focus until 2021 after signing an extended deal with the Lions.
As reported by the Sports Business Journal of late, the not-for-profit community hospital network has not only extended its deal with Orlando City SC but has also expanded it to encompass shirt sponsorship for Orlando City B and the Orlando Pride from 2016 to boot.
First arriving on board with Orlando City back in 2011, the healthcare organisation successfully negotiated its own transition through to Major League Soccer but this new deal WON’T secure naming rights for the soon-to-open Orlando City Stadium.
As far as updates go on that part, the Orlando Business Journal reported back on December 4th that Orlando City SC are in talks with three to four companies about exclusive stadium naming rights.
Surely existing club partners Publix and Walt Disney World would be in the mix for that, no?
