With just 43 days left to go until Orlando City SC’s first MLS fixture of 2016 (is it March yet!?), our friends over at OC Lions Fan TV caught up with Lions right back Tyler Turner before pre-season training gets real!
If you’re not familiar with the channel, OC Lions Fan TV are the only guys running fan-led videos for a Major League Soccer franchise that emulate the huge success of the likes of ArsenalFanTV on these shores.
With Raul Aguilera, Tommy Redding, Harrison Heath and now Turner having taken part in Q&A’s with the channel, Orlando City UK asked Tyler exactly what his ‘THREE goals are for the forthcoming campaign’.
All rather straightforward for the 19-year-old Connecticut native with Tyler aiming to: “Get minutes, make play-offs and win Championships!”
Having made seven appearances for Adrian Heath’s side in the inaugural campaign, Tyler revealed that 2015 had its ups and downs but ultimately, making his Major League Soccer debut against Montreal Impact in a 2-2 comeback for the Lions back in March was something he’ll never forget.
Revealing his love for Arsenal FC as his favourite team, Turner also revealed that he’s open to the prospect of a loan switch in 2016 but believes with the establishment of Orlando City B, he’ll have plenty of opportunities for minutes within Central Florida.
