We’ve already mentioned that Nocerino boasts experience of being part of an international squad performing at a major tournament but his involvement doesn’t stop at the European Championships alone.

The midfielder was actually part of a 20-man Italian squad that eventually fell at the quarter-final stage to Belgium at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China.

With international squads far weaker for Olympic competition, Nocerino was still joined by the likes of Toronto FC hitman Sebastian Giovinco and New Jersey-born Giuseppe Rossi in the team eight years ago now.
