What a difference a week makes for Orlando City SC who have now successfully hauled themselves back into the MLS Eastern Conference play-off spots after Saturday evening’s 2-1 victory over Montreal Impact.
After suffering the worst possible start whereby some poor defensive play allowed Impact dangerman Ignacio Piatti to pounce to put Mauro Biello’s side into a fourth minute lead, the Lions eventually roared back into action.
Largely a first-half to forget for Adrian Heath‘s side, Cyle Larin‘s 43rd minute leveller proved the turning point in a match that the Lions really needed to win to build confidence in a busy section of the campaign.
With Kaká in fantastic form on the night, not only assisting Larin’s first strike but also his second to boot, Orlando City SC‘s big players turned up when it mattered most.
What’s more, Joe Bendik also deserved his fair share of high praise for another excellent performance between the sticks.
So here’s how I feel each Orlando City SC player stacked up following Saturday evening’s morale boosting win.
