Following Adrian Heath’s shock sacking from Orlando City SC in midweek, the first game of post-Inchy era ended up in stalemate as the Lions and Houston Dynamo tied 0-0.

An extremely dull encounter with both sides struggling to produce any real quality, plenty of Lions supporters voiced their frustrations at the full-time whistle with Antonio Nocerino involved in an altercation with fans.

With interim head coach Bobby Murphy currently overseeing the first team in undoubtedly the toughest period in the club’s short history, yesterday evening’s game was never going to be easy.

That said, you still expected much better from an Orlando City SC team that looks devoid of all confidence right now and certainly bereft of ideas going forward last night with Cyle Larin isolated and Kevin Molino not his usual self.

However, in a rare start and vote of confidence for Harrison Heath who was playing in incredibly emotional circumstances of course, Adrian Heath‘s son performed admirably on the night.

The Lions’ first 0-0 of the season of course, you don’t associate Orlando City SC with not finding the back of the net but following Monday’s 4-0 thumping loss at FC Dallas, it’s now two games scoreless for City.

Considering Wade Barrett’s Houston Dynamo laid bottom of the MLS Western Conference heading into Friday’s fixture at Camping World Stadium, many Orlando City SC supporters thought they were an ideal opponent on the back of a tough week.

Despite Dynamo NOT having won on the road in their last SEVENTEEN Major League Soccer fixtures prior to Friday’s match-up, it was the Texan outfit who looked the more likely to score on the night with Will Bruin going close on a number of occasions.

Undoubtedly missing the guidance and flair of Kaká who had previously ruled himself out of facing Dynamo following a groin strain at FC Dallas, there is no time to stand still with a road trip to New York Red Bulls up next on Wednesday July 13th.
