Here at Orlando City UK, we really had to look twice when seeing Phil Rawlins had stepped down from his day-to-day operational responsibilities at Orlando City SC on Tuesday evening.
A personal decision with Phil now assuming a Life-President role, we wanted to take this opportunity to thank a guy who proved a huge motivation in us deciding to support Orlando City SC back in 2015.

A Message from Phil Rawlins and Alex Leitão
With Orlando City SC CEO Alex Leitão now assuming increased responsibility in light of Phil Rawlins‘ decision, we want to take this moment to reflect on Phil’s remarkable achievements in Central Florida.
Promising to deliver Major League Soccer in Orlando, Rawlins delivered.
Promising to bring professional women’s soccer to Orlando, Rawlins delivered.
And promising to herald the transition to a soccer-specific stadium, Rawlins again delivered.
Truly capturing Orlando’s imagination in bringing the city’s numerous communities together via a shared love of soccer, Orlando City SC, Orlando Pride and Orlando City B wouldn’t be what they are today without Phil Rawlins‘ drive, passion and determination.
And for us, the most impressive thing of all is the speed at which the Orlando City SC fraternity has come to life since Phil seized USL Pro rights only SIX years ago – a truly incredible feat!
We’re also delighted to learn that Kay Rawlins will be remaining in her current role with Orlando City SC.
I’m told Kay Rawlins will remain with the club in the same capacity as VP community relations/foundation president.
