Just an hour after posting our last blog post about Matheus Aiás, Orlando City SC officially announced the 23-year-old as the Lions’ latest signing.
Joining from Watford on a free transfer and signing a two-and-a-half year contract, the Brazilian fills an area of need after Dom Dwyer suffered a season-ending injury.

Fresh off an impressive spell at Spanish Segunda División side Mirandés, Matheus Aiás is a young forward with everything to gain.
Even before Dom Dwyer‘s injury, Orlando City SC fans have been desperate to add another proven striker to our ranks.
While Matheus Aiás isn’t exactly proven, impressive performances, particularly in the 2019/20 Copa del Rey, showcase his big potential.
As of August 21, Matheus Aiás‘ squad number is still yet to be confirmed by Orlando City SC.
