Within the first full month of MLS action, Orlando City SC supporters can look forward to three league games at Inter&Co Stadium.
The Lions open against Philadelphia Union on Saturday, February 22 before home games against Toronto FC (Saturday, March 1), and D.C. United (Saturday, March 22).
Remarkably, Orlando City SC have kicked off every one of their 10 MLS campaigns with a home opener – and 2025 will be no exception.
Since Orlando is the second southernmost MLS venue, perhaps we have a special arrangement with the league to host every MLS opening fixture?
After all, the harsh winter conditions in other U.S. venues during February make our warmer climate a more forgiving choice – who knows?
Elsewhere, the first away assignment for Oscar Pareja’s Lions is a tough one.
Indeed, on Saturday, March 8, the Lions visit New York City FC’s super-tiny baseball field at Yankee Stadium.
The regular season will come to a close with 2025 MLS Decision Day on Saturday, October 18.
This sets the stage for the 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs and MLS Cup with details to be announced at a later date.
First-ever visit to St. Louis CITY SC
Since 2020, MLS sides have controversially not faced every other single opponent – and this theme continues.
This was, in part, due to Inter Miami, Nashville SC, Austin FC, Charlotte FC, and St Louis CITY SC’s league entrances, plus COVID-19 travel restrictions.
In 2025, Orlando City SC will face all 14 of their Eastern Conference opponents twice (home and away) while facing just six teams from the Western Conference once.
With St. Louis CITY SC entering Major League Soccer’s Western Conference in 2023, the Missouri side first visited Inter&Co Stadium in August of that year, going down 2-1 to our Lions.
And this year, Oscar Pareja’s Lions will visit St. Louis CITY SC’s home, Energizer Park, for the first-ever time in MLS.
All in all, the Lions’ will contest these six cross-conference fixtures throughout 2025.
- @ LA Galaxy – Saturday, March 29
- vs. Portland Timbers – Saturday, May 24
- @ Colorado Rapids – Saturday, June 14
- @ St. Louis CITY SC – Wednesday, June 25
- vs. Sporting Kansas City – Saturday, August 16
- vs. Vancouver Whitecaps – Saturday, August 30
No inaugural MLS fixture with San Diego FC – yet!
With the 2025 addition of San Diego FC, Major League Soccer now features an even 30 teams – the largest number to ever compete in a single season.
But Orlando City SC will have to wait for a future MLS campaign to face Mikey Varas’ side.
After all, in today’s release, there is no 2025 regular season meeting scheduled between Orlando City SC and San Diego FC.
Meeting in-state and out-of-state foes, including that man Lionel Messi
As for other notable fixtures in today’s full release, all the anticipation of course surrounds Orlando City SC’s next clashes with Florida rivals Inter Miami as well as Atlanta United.
Meeting 13 times in MLS so far, Orlando City SC have defeated Inter Miami five times with the Fort Lauderdale-based side also earning four victories.
Orlando City SC face The Herons two times this year, at Chase Stadium on Sunday, May 18, with the reverse fixture at Inter&Co Stadium on Sunday, August 10.
Pending injury or suspension, the latter fixture will be Lionel Messi’s first-ever game at Inter&Co Stadium after the eight-time Ballon d’Or missed both the 2023 and 2024 Sunshine Clásico fixtures hosted in the 407.
Orlando City SC’s 2025 home meeting with fierce rivals Atlanta United is set for Saturday, April 26.
As for the away fixture, Oscar Pareja’s Lions fly north above Interstate 75 to visit Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Wednesday, May 28.

Facing Canadian opposition
As for Orlando City SC’s 2025 fixtures in the Great White North, City visit CF Montréal on Saturday, April 19 and Toronto FC on Saturday, October 18.
The latter fixture actually takes place on 2025 MLS Decision Day, with City also ending their 2023 MLS regular season at BMO Field with a 0-2 win.
For the first time in six Major League Soccer seasons, Orlando City SC will also face Vancouver Whitecaps.
The Lions’ first game against Caps since April 2019, City host Vancouver at Inter&Co Stadium on Saturday, August 30.
