Yesterday, Orlando City SC supporters learned when each of their thirty-four 2026 Major League Soccer regular season fixtures will be played.
Now that our full MLS regular season schedule is out, away days can be planned, rivalry games can be circled, and Lions supporters can now start mapping out Orlando City SC’s quest to reach the 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs.

Within the first full month of MLS action, Orlando City SC supporters can look forward to three league games at Inter&Co Stadium.
The Lions open against New York Red Bulls on Saturday, February 21 before home games against Inter Miami (Sunday, March 1), and CF Montréal (Saturday, March 14).
Remarkably, Orlando City SC have kicked off every one of their 11 MLS campaigns with a home opener – and 2026 will be no exception.
Since Orlando is the second southernmost MLS venue, perhaps we have a special arrangement with the league to host every MLS opening fixture?
After all, February’s harsh winter conditions elsewhere make our warmer climate a far more forgiving choice — so who can blame the schedule makers?
Elsewhere, Oscar Pareja’s Lions face a tough first road game.
Like last year, our away schedule kicks off at New York City FC’s tiny Yankee Stadium – this time on Saturday, March 7.
The regular season will come to a close with 2026 MLS Decision Day on Saturday, November 7.
And following that, the league will observe the November FIFA window before beginning one month of uninterrupted 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs action!
The complete post-season schedule for the 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs and MLS Cup will be announced at a later date.
MLS to pause for the 2026 FIFA World Cup
Since North America is hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup, MLS will step aside for a month to allow players, venues, and fans to fully immerse themselves in the tournament.
The league will pause play after matches on May 24 – ahead of the mandatory report date on May 25 – and will resume once the World Cup concludes.
Five MLS stadiums will host World Cup matches during the break, and several more are being considered as national team base camp sites.
First-ever meeting with San Diego FC
Since 2020, MLS sides have controversially not faced every other single opponent – and this theme continues.
This was, in part, due to Inter Miami, Nashville SC, Austin FC, Charlotte FC, St Louis CITY SC and San Diego FC’s league entrances, plus COVID-19 travel restrictions.
In 2026, Orlando City SC will face all 14 of their Eastern Conference opponents twice (home and away) while facing just six teams from the Western Conference once.
With San Diego FC joining MLS’s Western Conference in 2025, we can look forward to Orlando’s first-ever meeting with the Southern California club.
While a trip to Snapdragon Stadium will have to wait, Mikey Varas’ side will visit Inter&Co Stadium on Saturday, September 5.
All in all, the Lions’ will contest these six cross-conference fixtures throughout 2026.
- @ Los Angeles FC – Saturday, April 4
- vs. Houston Dynamo – Saturday, April 18
- @ San Jose Earthquakes – Wednesday, July 22
- vs. Real Salt Lake – Saturday, August 22
- @ Minnesota United – Saturday, August 29
- vs. San Diego FC – Saturday, September 5
Meeting in-state and out-of-state foes, including that man Lionel Messi
As for other notable fixtures in today’s full release, all the anticipation of course surrounds Orlando City SC’s next clashes with Florida rivals Inter Miami as well as Atlanta United.
Meeting 15 times in MLS so far, Orlando City SC have defeated Inter Miami seven times with the Fort Lauderdale-based side also earning four victories.
Orlando City SC face The Herons twice this year, first at Inter&Co Stadium on Sunday, March 1, with the reverse fixture at the new Miami Freedom Park on Saturday, May 2.
Despite joining MLS in July 2023, Lionel Messi still hasn’t played at Inter&Co Stadium.
Remarkably, the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner missed the 2023, 2024, and 2025 Sunshine Clásico fixtures held in the 407.
Perhaps he’s scared? 🤣
Orlando City SC’s 2026 home meeting with fierce rivals Atlanta United is set for Saturday, May 16.
As for the away fixture, Oscar Pareja’s Lions fly north above Interstate 75 to visit Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Wednesday, September 9.

First-ever visit to Miami Freedom Park
As we just mentioned, Orlando City SC will visit a brand-new MLS stadium in 2026 – Miami Freedom Park.
Our Florida rivals Inter Miami have called the dump that is Chase Stadium home since 2020.
But mid-season in April 2026, The Herons will leave Fort Lauderdale for their new digs in Grapeland Heights.
A major upgrade from Chase Stadium, Miami Freedom Park will hold 25,000 fans and has an estimated development cost of $1 billion.
Oscar Pareja’s Lions will make their first-ever visit to Miami Freedom Park on Saturday, May 2.
Facing Canadian opposition
As for Orlando City SC’s 2026 fixtures in the Great White North, City visit CF Montréal on Saturday, May 9 and Toronto FC on Wednesday, October 14.
Having visited BMO Field for MLS Decision Day in both 2023 and 2025, it’s a welcome change to be hosting the final match of the regular season instead.
This time, New England Revolution come to Inter&Co Stadium on Saturday, November 7.
As for Vancouver Whitecaps, there is no 2026 regular season meeting scheduled between Orlando City SC and the British Columbia side.
