In the space of six years, Orlando City SC‘s tagline ‘Defy Expectations’ simply couldn’t hold more truth.

Since relocating from Austin, Texas to dominating USL Pro; from signing Kaká to have Filled The Bowl twice against New York City FC and then Real Salt Lake, the club continues on a fast-paced upward trajectory.

With both Orlando City B and Orlando Pride currently stamping their own mark into this purple tale, making the MLS Cup play-off’s is obviously the ultimate goal for Adrian Heath‘s Lions this season but what next?

Scottish stopper becomes first ever Orlando City B goalkeeper



Anthony Pulis’ Orlando City B have finally signed the first goalkeeper of the club’s fledgling history as 25-year-old Scottish stopper Mark Ridgers arrived this week.

Orlando City SC’s summer recruitment drive currently stands at seven new faces after Antonio Matarazzo and Tobenna Uzo were selected as the Lions’ next picks in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft.

Selected in the third and fourth rounds, 22-year-old midfielder Matarazzo arrives from Columbia University while 21-year-old Nigerian striker Tobenna Uzo checks in from Coastal Carolina. Continue reading

Orlando Health extends Orlando City SC sponsorship by 6 years



They’ve been the instantly recognisable name on the face of Orlando City SC’s jerseys ever since the USL days and now Orlando Health will remain in focus until 2021 after signing an extended deal with the Lions.

As reported by the Sports Business Journal of late, the not-for-profit community hospital network has not only extended its deal with Orlando City SC but has also expanded it to encompass shirt sponsorship for Orlando City B and the Orlando Pride from 2016 to boot. Continue reading
