With Jason Kreis‘ one-year anniversary having passed on July 19th, it seems as good a time as any to assess how far Orlando City SC have come under his guidance.

As this post is written, the Lions currently find themselves two points outside the 2017 MLS Cup qualification spots having previously been above the red line all season long. Continue reading

Since Major League Soccer’s secondary transfer window opened on July 10th, we are yet to witness any new signings for Orlando City SC.

So Orlando City SC‘s 100% home winning record is over this season but the Lions are still unbeaten at home after tying 2-2 with Sporting Kansas City on Saturday.

A topsy turvy game that involved a feisty second-half, the game unfortunately belonged to rookie Sporting KC forward Latif Blessing who twice proved a thorn in Orlando City SC‘s side with a brace. Continue reading

Orlando City SC received a big reality check in Gameweek 9 with Jason Kreis‘ Lions beaten twice in quick succession against Toronto FC (2-1) and then Houston Dynamo (4-0).

What looked a demanding two-game away streak on paper turned out that way but still boasting a 100% win record at Orlando City Stadium, Saturday’s home game with Sporting Kansas City provides a chance to bounce back. Continue reading

There’s something different for Orlando City SC supporters to look forward to this midweek as Adrian Heath‘s side plot a revenge mission away at Jacksonville Armada in the fourth round of the 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S Open Cup.

While football pales into insignificance given the tragic Orlando shooting that has rocked The City Beautiful this past week, there’s of course extra incentive for Orlando City SC to achieve progression on Wednesday evening. Continue reading

PLAYER RATINGS: Sporting Kansas City vs Orlando City SC – 15.05.16

The beginning of a new feature here at Orlando City UK and in association with our friends OCLionsFan, I individually rate the performances of Orlando City SC players from their most recent MLS fixture.

Unfortunately going down 2-1 away to Sporting Kansas City of the Western Conference yesterday, it’s now six Major League Soccer fixtures without victory for Adrian Heath‘s Lions. Continue reading

Playing out their fifth draw of the 2016 Major League Soccer season when tying 1-1 with New York Red Bulls at Camping World Stadium last time out, Orlando City SC currently sit fifth in the Eastern Conference.

Still just four points off current table-toppers Montreal Impact, it is incredibly tight in the East right now but the Lions have only won a single game at home – against Portland Timbers (4-1) – so far this season. Continue reading
