Orlando City SC’s summer recruitment drive currently stands at seven new faces after Antonio Matarazzo and Tobenna Uzo were selected as the Lions’ next picks in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft.

Selected in the third and fourth rounds, 22-year-old midfielder Matarazzo arrives from Columbia University while 21-year-old Nigerian striker Tobenna Uzo checks in from Coastal Carolina. Continue reading

Orlando City SC select duo in 2016 MLS SuperDraft First Round



Orlando City SC’s summer recruitment drive currently stands at five new arrivals for Adrian Heath’s team after Richie Laryea and Hadji Barry were selected in the First Round of the 2016 MLS SuperDraft.

Laryea and Barry were the Lions’ seventh and thirteenth picks respectively with the former player belonging to Generation Adidas having developed at the University of Akron. Continue reading

Hall’s replacement sealed as 26-year-old signs with Orlando City SC



Orlando City SC have moved to strengthen their goalkeeping department after the Lions completed a trade for Toronto FC goalkeeper Joe Bendik in return for a conditional fourth-round draft pick in the 2017 edition of the MLS SuperDraft.

Arriving to compete with Earl Edwards Jr, the 26-year-old Marietta, Georgia native made 73 league appearances for the Canadian side between 2013 and 2015 while turning out for the Portland Timbers before that. Continue reading

Orlando City SC set to make 20-year-old first off-season signing?



With the news that both Tally Hall and Josh Ford were cut from the Orlando City SC roster this week, it appears that Adrian Heath’s team are looking to quickly strengthen the goalkeeping department with the capture of Benfica B’s 20-year-old stopper Thierry Graça.

According to a report from Portuguese source RecordGraça is expected to put pen to paper on a five-year deal at the Citrus Bowl in January with the Portuguese club then receiving half his transfer fee if he’s sold on thereafter. Continue reading
