“Poor, very poor” – Heath laments latest Orlando City SC showing

Despite beating New York Red Bulls 3-2 yesterday, Orlando City SC head coach Adrian Heath was far from pleased with his teams’ performance in the friendly win at ChampionsGate Sports Complex.

While the Lions managed to grab a victory right off the back of a 2-1 pre-season defeat upstate at Florida rivals Jacksonville Armada last Saturday, it was the manner of City’s win that didn’t sit well with Heath, as reported by the Orlando Sentinel. Continue reading

Scottish stopper becomes first ever Orlando City B goalkeeper



Anthony Pulis’ Orlando City B have finally signed the first goalkeeper of the club’s fledgling history as 25-year-old Scottish stopper Mark Ridgers arrived this week.

Joining defender / midfielder Andrew Ribeiro as OCB’s latest signings, Pulis’ roster is starting to take shape with 13 names making it up at present, plus player transition from Adrian Heath’s first team of course. Continue reading

Orlando City SC make two more additions in 2016 MLS SuperDraft



Orlando City SC’s summer recruitment drive currently stands at seven new faces after Antonio Matarazzo and Tobenna Uzo were selected as the Lions’ next picks in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft.

Selected in the third and fourth rounds, 22-year-old midfielder Matarazzo arrives from Columbia University while 21-year-old Nigerian striker Tobenna Uzo checks in from Coastal Carolina. Continue reading
