HOW ABOUT THAT RAIN DELAY? 😮⛈️ Huge credit if you stuck it out past midnight to see Orlando City SC beat Sporting Kansas City 3-1. It definitely wasn’t our best game. But the Lions turned it on after the break with The Wall staying loud despite the marathon wait.

Oscar Pareja’s 100th career win for City, we’re now unbeaten in 7 straight across all competitions (6-1-0). And, we’re just 5 points off new Eastern Conference leaders FC Cincinnati (52). Peaking at the perfect time, we’re back in the Supporters’ Shield hunt too, trailing San Diego FC (52) by 5 points also. FLORIDA IS PURPLE!!! 😈😤 But you knew that already! Orlando City SC enter Saturday’s clash with Sporting Kansas City fresh off a statement 4-1 demolition of Inter Miami. We may be up to fourth, but the East is as tight as a packed Wall on derby day – so every point from here is massive!

The goals are flowing, Martín Ojeda is in MVP form, and Luis Muriel has his mojo back – so things bode well. Opponents Sporting Kansas City are winless in four, but we’ve stumbled against beatable sides before. WAS I DREAMING? 🤩 A first-half hat-trick by Luis Muriel? 😮 Incredible! Orlando City SC head into Sunday’s Sunshine Clásico against Inter Miami riding high, having qualified for the 2025 Leagues Cup knockout stage with a 5-1 win over Necaxa. By finishing fourth in the MLS table, we’ve now set up a quarter-final with Toluca at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

Now back in MLS action, we’re out to protect our unbeaten home record against Miami (3-4-0). A win here would not only give us huge momentum, but secure a famous season sweep. Our legs may be tired from a packed schedule. But hopefully, adrenaline can carry us past the South Florida team we all love to beat! After Ricardo Moreira teased a new arrival with his best Fabrizio Romano impression, Orlando City SC have now officially announced the signing of Adrián Marín from Braga.

The experienced Spanish left back has joined the Lions through 2026, with a club option for 2027, pending receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate.

After Tyrese Spicer joined last Friday, Marín becomes City’s second new signing of the MLS Secondary Transfer Window. The 28-year-old has been handed the #21 jersey at Inter&Co Stadium – last worn by Júnior Urso in 2023. Continue reading →

After Tom Bogert broke the transfer story earlier today, Orlando City SC have officially announced the signing of Tyrese Spicer from Toronto FC.

In return, The Reds have received $225,000 in 2025 General Allocation Money (GAM) and $275,000 in 2026 GAM. An additional $50,000 in GAM will be sent to Toronto if certain performance-based incentives are met.

The first new signing for City this MLS Secondary Transfer Window, 24-year-old Spicer has been handed the #14 jersey at Inter&Co Stadium – last worn by Nicolás Lodeiro in 2024. Continue reading →

This Saturday, Orlando City SC play their second phase one match in the 2025 Leagues Cup. Hosting Atlas at Inter&Co Stadium, it’s already a must-win game. After our frustrating penalty shootout loss to Pumas UNAM, we have just one point. To keep our knockout hopes alive, we absolutely need to make it to four points.

Our tournament started strong with Rodrigo Schlegel’s early goal against Pumas, but a drop in attacking intensity and defensive errors proved costly. Next up is Atlas, led by former Atlanta United coach Gonzalo Pineda. Having lost 2-1 to Inter Miami, they’re still searching for their first point and will be pushing hard for a win. What on Earth has happened to our game management? 🤦🏽‍♂️ For the second straight match, Orlando City SC took a 1-0 lead… and threw it away. Last night’s 1-2 home loss to New York City FC was gutting. Not just because of the result, but because it followed a now-familiar script – take control, waste chances, and collapse late. Further evidence that we’re feeling the pressure, that’s now four games without a win and just two points from twelve. It’s hard to believe this is the same team that dismantled Inter Miami 0-3 back in May.

With our season slipping away, we need to respond and fast. Saturday sees the Lions travel to Gillette Stadium to face New England Revolution – a team sitting 11th but desperate to claw their way back into the playoff picture. We’ve only ever won ONCE in Foxborough (1-2-6), but that lone victory (1-3) came just a year ago. A 1-1 home draw against CF Montréal — really? 🤔 Winless against the bottom side this year? Not good enough. 😤 I was gutted by the full-time whistle on Saturday. Prince Owusu’s late penalty not only cost us a much-needed victory but worryingly stretched our winless run to three. Post-game, Ricardo Moreira captured the mood, tweeting: “We’re not here to settle for ‘enough’” – a clear sign of how costly these dropped points felt in the race for the Eastern Conference top four.

Now, Orlando City SC face New York City FC in a crucial midweek showdown at Inter&Co Stadium. Sitting just four points behind us and eager to close the gap, NYCFC are scarred from Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Charlotte FC. But The Pigeons are always a tough opponent, home or away. Battling back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Charlotte FC, there were some positives to take. But also a nagging feeling that we left two points behind. 😤 Yes, we rallied late on – but in a game we largely controlled, a draw doesn’t cut it if we’re serious about breaking into the top four of the Eastern Conference.

Now back at Inter&Co Stadium, Orlando City SC face bottom-of-the-table CF Montréal. And it’s a game we simply have to win! With fifth-placed Inter Miami now one point above us – and holding THREE games in hand – we can’t afford to slip up. Marco Donadel’s side are leaking goals and low on confidence after last weekend’s 1-4 home defeat to The Herons. It’s been a few days since I landed back in London after my latest trip stateside, and it’s probably fair to say it was my most hectic yet!

When Major League Soccer released the 2025 schedule at the start of the year, one fixture in particular stood out as a must-see. That fixture was Orlando City SC’s first-ever visit to St. Louis, Missouri, conveniently scheduled in the middle of summer when I was finally unshackled from university commitments.

The St. Louis CITY SC game, though, was just one of seven sporting events I attended last week, as my ambition to make the most of this trip drained me both physically and financially. Continue reading →
