We’re only three days into a new working week and Orlando City SC have already treated us to two more fantastic winter additions.

Signing Justin Meram from Columbus Crew on Monday and Oriol ‘Uri’ Rosell from Sporting CP yesterday, the excitement ahead of the 2018 MLS campaign is palpable right now.

The capture of Iraq international winger Justin Meram seems mightily significant with the 29-year-old now taking Cyle Larin‘s number 9 jersey following his controversial switch to Beşiktaş.

An assist leader in Major League Soccer over the past few seasons, Justin Meram‘s addition may bring about a key change in Jason Kreis‘ tactics with the player most dangerous when deployed off the left wing.

As for Oriol Rosell, nicknamed ‘Uri’, the former Barcelona youth product is an interesting addition having already made 43 Major League Soccer appearances for Sporting Kansas City between 2012 and 2014.

Taking the number 20 jersey for the Lions, the fact Oriol Rosell has been on the roster of a huge club such as Sporting CP seems to suggest he’ll be a key cog in Jason Kreis‘ midfield.

At this point, Oriol Rosell‘s signing may raise questions over Cristian Higuita‘s immediate future but we’ll have to wait and see what happens with our tough-tackling Colombian.

So with this week’s notable additions in mind, Orlando City UK believes Orlando City SC‘s strongest starting eleven could look like this in 2018.
