After César Luis Merlo broke the story on August 29, Orlando City SC have announced that Ramiro Enrique has joined Saudi Pro League side Al-Kholood in a deal reportedly worth $3.3 million. While the MLS Secondary Transfer Window closed on August 21, the Saudi window remains open until September 10, giving the club time to reinforce their squad. Tom Bogert tweeted that the move is the “third-highest outbound transfer in Orlando City history”, behind Facundo Torres ($14 million) and Daryl Dike ($9.5 million). And given that Enrique never fully secured a regular starting spot at centre forward, the Lions clearly couldn’t turn down the offer.
Joining from Banfield ahead of the 2023 campaign, Ramiro Enrique quickly won over The Wall with his tireless, street-fighter style up front. Though not a consistent starter, he displaced Luis Muriel and Duncan McGuire midway through last season, setting a new club record with six consecutive games scoring. His standout moment came in the 2024 Eastern Conference Semi-Final against Atlanta United on November 24, when he scored his first-ever playoff goal on 39 minutes – enough to send Orlando to their first-ever Eastern Conference Final.
Overall, Enrique made 102 appearances (43 starts) for City across all competitions, scoring 26 goals and providing 7 assists. Renowned for his intelligent movement, tireless work ethic, and clinical finishing, we wish Ramiro all the best in Saudi Arabia. Continue reading

We’ve shown we can win in different ways! Orlando, we’re coming to c̶o̶n̶q̶u̶e̶r̶ roll over! 😜 After a tough few weeks, Orlando City SC returned to winning ways with a commanding 3-0 derby victory over Atlanta United at Inter&Co Stadium. Piling the pressure on Ronny Deila, the result extended the Lions’ unbeaten run to seven games and restored some much-needed momentum heading into a busy stretch. Now, Oscar Pareja’s side will look to climb the Eastern Conference standings against Chicago Fire, who were just thumped 7-2 at Nashville SC. It was an embarrassing loss for Gregg Berhalter against his former USMNT assistant, B.J. Callaghan.

Just eight days after Oscar Pareja signed a new three-year deal as Orlando City SC head coach, yesterday saw Luiz Muzzi promoted to Senior Advisor to Ownership, Global Soccer Ventures and Ricardo Moreira to the role of General Manager & Sporting Director.
Luiz Muzzi, formerly Executive Vice President of Soccer Operations & General Manager, and Ricardo Moreira, formerly Vice President of Soccer Operations & Technical Director, received their most recent promotions in February 2024.

After selecting him as the 27th overall pick in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft back on December 20, Orlando City SC have today announced that Joran Gerbet has been signed to a first team contract at Inter&Co Stadium.
During City’s 2025 pre-season, Gerbet has already made second-half cameos in high-profile friendlies against Atlético Mineiro and Inter Miami. In truth, City supporters have had nearly two whole weeks to digest Facu’s departure, especially after Palmeiras agreed terms with Facundo Torres on December 9 before Cruz Azul appeared set to hijack the move. But in the end, Verdão have got their man.

In a major development, North American transfer expert Tom Bogert has reported tonight that Orlando City SC and Brazilian giants Palmeiras have reached an agreement for the transfer of Uruguay international Facundo Torres.
Bogert’s report for GiveMeSport states that the transfer is pending finalisation of personal terms between Torres and Palmeiras.
If completed, the deal would mark a club record outbound transfer for the Lions, surpassing the $9.5 million fee received for Daryl Dike’s move to West Bromwich Albion in January 2022. Continue reading
