According to a Wednesday tweet from journalist Nicolò Schira, Italian Serie A side Spezia are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Orlando City SC left back João Moutinho.
João Moutinho is out of contract on December 31, 2022 and on Monday, Orlando City SC released their 2022 end-of-season roster update where it was mentioned Moutinho was “currently in discussions” about a potential 2023 return.

On November 9, Orlando City SC announced the signing of Toronto FC left back Luca Petrasso via trade.
With the Canadian becoming the Lions’ first off-season addition, you now wonder whether he is the starting eleven replacement for the outgoing João Moutinho?

Aa for João Moutinho‘s Orlando City SC career as a whole, the Portuguese has made 72 MLS appearances for the Lions, scoring two goals and registering eight assists.
This was after signing from Los Angeles FC who formerly selected Moutinho as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft.
Fortunately for João Moutinho, he started 28 MLS games for City in an injury-free 2022 season following disruptions in 2020/21.
