When Orlando City SC‘s 2019 fixtures were first released back in January, there was one game that stood out above any other on a personal level – the Lions’ August 10 trip to Toronto FC.
Currently living in the Canadian city – and only a 15-minute walk from BMO Field – since emigrating from the UK back in March, I’m hugely excited to experience my second ever Orlando City SC away day this month.
If the Toronto FC versus Orlando City SC gameday experience is even half as good as the one I enjoyed at Montreal Impact back on June 1, I’ll be in for a treat.
Lucky enough to meet James O’Connor and the Lions’ 2019 roster for the first time, not to mention being spotted on TV and receiving a shoutout from Miguel Gallardo on the live Orlando City SC broadcast, the day was full of incredible surprises.
This was not to mention the most important fact of all – that Orlando City SC put in arguably their most complete MLS performance to date to run out impressive 0-3 winners in enemy territory!
I’ll be hoping for another strong performance and result at Toronto FC with The Reds currently tussling with Orlando City SC for a place above the red line in the Eastern Conference.
An extremely important game in the Lions’ remaining 2019 fixtures, our hopes of reaching the 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs depend on beating sides around us in the standings – and right now, that’s TFC!
Like we did at Montreal Impact in June and the 2019 MLS All-Star Game in July, Orlando City UK Twitter followers can look forward to plenty of pre-game, in-game and post-game footage from Toronto FC’s BMO Field home.
